On July 24th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan and Ontario’s Minister of Education, joined Maria Carriero, the founder of Youth2Youth, as well as representatives of Toronto Police, high school students, and youth from across the province to celebrate Youth Day Global at Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto. Ms. Carriero is a high school student in Vaughan.
“I’m proud to stand with youth to celebrate this important day, and embrace a message of hope and never giving up,” said MPP Lecce. “From supporting student mental health to the full return to class this September with sports, clubs, and arts, our government is looking forward with optimism, and taking action so that all young people can succeed, reach their full potential, and make change in our classrooms and right across our world.”
