On February 25th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, hosted MPPs David Smith and Charmaine Williams, and local dignitaries at MPP Lecce's Black History Month event hosted in partnership with ANCHOR in Vaughan. MPP Lecce delivered remarks.
“February is Black History month, a time when we celebrate and acknowledge individuals such as Mary Ann Shadd, Lincoln Alexander, and Harold Braithwaite, who contributed in so many ways to establish a more united, respectful and democratic country,” said MPP Lecce. “Thank you to Shernett Martin and ANCHOR for empowering Black Excellence in young people in King and Vaughan and beyond."
