Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan dropped by the Civic Centre Resources Library to lunch their Valentine's for Veterans initiative with YRP Officer Gary Sangha and Library Chair Rose Savage, sending cards for veterans living in long-term care facilities.
Vaughan residents were asked to submit Valentine’s Day cards or drop by any branch to write a card.
“Our veterans have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy today,” said Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan. “We owe it to them to remember their service and make an effort to bring a smile to their faces this Valentine’s Day. I thank Vaughan Public Libraries for spearheading this thoughtful initiative for our veterans who served courageously in war and peacetime."
