On October 4, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, was joined by Team Lecce for the annual Strides for Seniors charity run organized by UniversalCare and Care as One in support of CIBPA Place, York Region's First Non-Profit Residential Respite Dementia Care Centre. CIBPA Place will be operated by CHATS, Community and Home Assistance to Seniors. Team Lecce is consistently one of the largest teams present supporting the run.
"In just one morning, Strides for Seniors raised over $2 million to build York Region's first and only non-profit Residential Respite Dementia Care Centre, right here in Vaughan—a historic achievement," said MPP Lecce. "For everyone afflicted by dementia, Team Lecce and the community showed up to support the most successful grassroots community fundraiser in Canada."
