On October 20th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, hosted Stan Cho, Ontario’s Minister of Long-Term Care at the official ground-breaking ceremony for the St. Rita at Marylake long-term care home in King City. Once completed, the new home will provide 160 new beds for its residents and offer enhanced chronic disease management programs and palliative care services, and will be part of a campus of care.
“Ontario seniors worked hard and sacrificed so much to build our community and country, yet King Township unacceptably has one of the lowest ratios of residents to long-term care beds. I made a solemn promise to local families that I would deliver results and investments that make King and Vaughan a better and safer place to live. That is why I am proud to have delivered over $60 million to build this urgently needed long-term care home for 160 residents, ensuring seniors get the quality of care they need and deserve closer to home,” said MPP Lecce.
