On Saturday, October 23rd and Friday, October 29th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, upheld the annual tradition of collecting donated pumpkins and delivering them to seniors in King Township and Vaughan.
This special tradition of bringing pumpkins to seniors began in 2018, and was a resounding success in bringing the community together. It was more important than ever to continue the tradition during this pandemic in a safe manner to stay in touch with local seniors.
“It was a wonderful afternoon meeting residents and dropping off pumpkins to seniors in the community,” said Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan. “Continuing the tradition because it brings so much joy, lots of smiles and special connection to our seniors in the riding. It’s also an opportunity to support local family farms and jobs that depend on them.”
