On June 18th, Stephen Lecce, MPP-Elect for King-Vaughan, joined Premier-Elect Doug Ford; Melissa Lantsman, MP for Thornhill; Caroline Mulroney, MPP-Elect for York-Simcoe, Michael Parsa, MPP-Elect for Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill; Logan Kanapathi, MPP-Elect for Markham-Thornhill; Laura Smith, MPP-Elect for Thornhill, Dawn Gallagher-Murphy, MPP-Elect for Newmarket-Aurora, Michael Ford, MPP-Elect for York South-Weston, representatives of the York Regional Police, and members of the community for the York Region Pride Parade in Newmarket.
York Pride has a mission to organize 2SLGBTQ+ Pride initiatives through arts and culture to promote equity, inclusivity, reduce homophobia, improve health, wellbeing, create safe social opportunities, engendering self-esteem & community engagement, within York Region.
