On June 10th, Stephen Lecce, MPP-Elect for King-Vaughan, joined Melissa Lantsman, MP for Thornhill; Laura Smith, MPP-Elect for Thornhill; Rosanna DeFrancesca, Ward 3 Vaughan City Councillor; Sandra Yeung Racco, Ward 4 Vaughan City Councillor; as well as representatives from the York Regional Police, and many others from the music industry and local community to celebrate the first ever Vaughan International Music Festival (VIMF).
“Vaughan is an incredibly vibrant community that is home to many talented young artists and musicians who deserve the opportunity to succeed,” said MPP-Elect Stephen Lecce. “I want to take this opportunity to thank VIMF for providing a platform for young musicians to grow and develop, and for inspiring local music artists from the Vaughan community, including Nicolina Bozzo, who made all Canadians proud on American Idol.”
