On November 5th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, joined Sheref Sabawy, MPP for Mississauga-Erin Mills, and members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community for a Remembrance Day ceremony in Brampton, hosted by Muslims for Remembrance.
“I thank Muslims for Remembrance for hosting today’s event, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim community for taking time to honour the courage and incredible sacrifices of Canada’s Glorious Dead and thank our men and women in uniform for keeping us safe and free,” said MPP Lecce. “It is my hope that all young Canadians will wear a poppy with pride this November, as it is a powerful demonstration of our unity and gratitude to those who served and continue to serve.”
