On March 18th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, joined two Persian-Canadian Members of Provincial Parliament: Michael Parsa, MPP for Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill, and Goldie Ghamari, MPP for Carleton, as well as Laura Smith, MPP for Thornhill for a celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year.
“I’m proud to join Persian-Canadians who came to Ontario in pursuit of a better life,” said Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan. “During Persian Heritage Month, we thank the community who has contributed greatly to the development of our country and economy, and work tirelessly to enrich our society. During this period of renewal, we look forward to a free and democratic Iran. Wishing all who celebrate a Nowruz Pirooz!”
