On June 21st, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, became the guest storytime reader at the Civic Centre Resource Library in Maple as part of their Little Explorers Storytime series. MPP Lecce continues to promote literacy initiatives across his community.
"The future is in good hands with these bright, young learners," said MPP Lecce. "I want to thank Vaughan Public Libraries for the good work promoting literacy to our kids, an essential skills necessary for the success of students. I am proud that our government recognizes the importance of early reading as we introduced Ontario's first kindergarten curriculum that prioritizes getting back to basics in reading, writing, and math in the classroom."
