On October 15th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan and Ontario’s Minister of Education, joined local dignitaries for a graduation ceremony at Camp Molly, an organization with a mission to provide young girls the opportunity to meet positive strong female role models in firefighting.
“Firefighters keep families and seniors safe, so it’s critically important that we encourage more young people – especially girls to seriously consider firefighting as a career,” said MPP Lecce. “I applaud all Camp Molly volunteers for providing King and Vaughan youth with a unique hands-on learning experience, and for helping them build the skills and confidence to enter any career, most especially in emergency services. Thanks Vaughan and King Fire for your continuous support!"
