On November 8, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan joined by King Council, community leaders and members to celebrate the official opening of the new King City Library & Seniors Centre in King Township.
The new library boasts 21,000 square feet and includes meeting and study spaces, a reading lounge, computer spaces, children and teen areas and even a ‘Make-It Lab’ lab. The Seniors’ Centre includes rental space, community space and program areas.
“Pleased to have celebrated the grand opening of the new King City Library & Seniors Centre in King Township — a state-of-the art facility that will support learning for local students and programming for seniors,” said Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan. “I am proud to work with Council to build upon this opening, by delivering $17M to construct the modern King City Recreation Center that will support healthy lifestyles, sport, and recreation for families of all ages.”
