Stephen Lecce, MPP-Elect for King-Vaughan joined MPP-Elect Michael Tibollo, MPP-Elect Daisy Wai, and His Worship Maurizio Bevilacqua to mark the 1 year anniversary of the opening of the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.
As Ontario’s first net new hospital in over 30 years with fully integrated smart technology systems and medical devices, Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital opened its doors as a full-service hospital on June 6, 2021. Over the past year, Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital has become a leading health provider with all around care from mental health, to child and birthing, emergency care, and also boasts a stroke unit. Above all, it is the frontline health care heroes who have stepped up beyond the call of duty during the pandemic who have saved lives and helped deliver new lives into the world. This new chapter was possible thanks to the amazing staff, volunteers, PSWs, doctors, nurses, custodians, donors and more who came together with compassion and vision for quality health care in our community.
