MPP Lecce Welcomes New Canadians at Canada Day Citizenship Ceremony

On Canada Day, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, started off the day by welcoming 49 new Canadians to our community at a Citizenship Ceremony at Vaughan City Hall. MPP Lecce delivered congratulatory remarks on behalf of the Province of Ontario.

“We started Canada Day off strong by welcoming 49 new Canadians to our country — many of whom fled persecution and overcame great difficulty to get here,” said MPP Lecce. “Without exception, you could see the emotion in their eyes as we welcomed them to the best country on Earth. It was a powerful way to mark Canada Day!”
