Recently, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, was joined by Ontario Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy at the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce's Post-Budget Breakfast, attended by the King Chamber of Commerce. MPP Lecce re-affirmed the province's commitment to families in King and Vaughan by highlighting critical local investments, such as a $10 million planning grant to explore a net-new additional site for the Southlake Regional Health Centre. Also in attendance were Michelle Frauley and David Magahey from the King Chamber of Commerce.
"During this period of global uncertainty, Ontario's budget protects what matters most, keeps costs down, and advances Canadian self-reliance," said MPP Lecce. "Our government is helping families and businesses in King and Vaughan save money by permanently cutting the gas tax — saving commuters 5.7 cents per litre on gas. We also launched the largest energy efficiency project in Canadian history that will keep electricity bills down over the next decade. Here in King—Vaughan, I am proud to put in motion a plan to build a net-new hospital and second site for the Southlake Regional Health Centre — delivering better healthcare, closer to home for families in King Township."
“King and Vaughan are exemplary of Ontario’s increasingly prosperous and growing communities – where businesses, workers and families can thrive and help build a stronger economy for future generations" said Minister Bethlenfalvy. "Through the unrelenting support and determination of your local MPPs, Stephen Lecce and Michael Tibollo, and through our government’s 2025 Budget, we will continue to support communities in Vaughan as we work to protect Ontario.”
