On June 6, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, joined the St. Patrick's and St. Mary's communities in Schomberg and Nobleton, in celebration of St. Patrick's 150th Anniversary. St. Mary's Church was built in 1855 and St. Mary's in 1876.

"We celebrated St. Patrick's 150th anniversary at the Family Fun Fair, in partnership with St. Mary's Church, who also marked 171 years," said MPP Lecce. "To put this into historical context—these churches in Schomberg and Nobleton were erected around or prior to Canada's Confederation. A true legacy of family, faith, and close community."
