On May 28, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, hosted Vaughan's own Anthony Carella at Queen's Park. Anthony and his team participated in the World's Toughest Row, which had them rowing for over 35 days straight across 4,800 miles of the Atlantic Ocean—placing in 4th place amongst the 43 competing teams. Anthony has since become a role model for students by being a motivational speaker at multiple local schools. MPP Lecce presented Anthony with a Canadian flag to thank him for representing Vaughan with pride.

"I welcomed Vaughan's very own Anthony Carella to Queen's Park to recognize this incredible young Canadian for completing one of the toughest endurance challenges on Earth," said MPP Lecce. "Anthony rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in support of youth mentorship and development. He earned his flag and the praise he received from all MPPs in Ontario's Legislature. To every kid out there, be like Anthony, and never give up!"
