Last week, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan and Minister of Energy and Mines, represented Ontario at the World Nuclear Symposium and the Canadian-UK Nuclear Summit in the United Kingdom, where the province was recognized for its bold leadership in advancing and expanding non-emitting nuclear energy by the Director General of the World Nuclear Symposium.
"In all regions of the world, we are promoting Canadian technology, resources, and ingenuity so that we create good-jobs back home," said MPP Lecce. "Ontario is standing tall on the world stage — home to the largest operating nuclear fleet, the first Small Modular Reactor in the G7 under construction, and the largest nuclear expansion on the continent. This is about promoting Canadian tech, supporting Canadian jobs, and demonstrating Canadian leadership around the world."
