MPP Lecce Joins Maple Pioneer Seniors For Annual Summer Picnic

On July 25, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, stopped by the Maple Pioneer Italian Seniors' Club summer picnic and brought refreshing watermelon slices for the seniors enjoy on a hot summer day.

"There's an unwritten rule in Italian culture: never show up to a Festa empty-handed," said MPP Lecce. "Last week, I visited my friends at the Maple Pioneer Italian Seniors Club and brought some fresh watermelon to keep them cool and refreshed — perfect for an outdoor picnic. It's my way of saying thank you to the greatest generation — for paving the way so the next generation can make our country even better than they did."
