MPP Lecce Honours Previous Generations at the Villa Charities Italian Canadian Immigrant Tribute Blessing by Vatican Cardinal

On June 26, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, attended the blessing of Villa Charities' Italian Immigrant Tribute by Frank Cardinal Leo and spoke on behalf of the Province of Ontario. 

"As the son of Italian Immigrants that came to Canada on a boat with nothing but a dream and the willingness to build it, it was truly special to bear witness to the holy blessing paying tribute to the thousands that took a leap of faith to come to Canada," said MPP Lecce. "Ahead of Canada Day, this was an especially powerful reminder of how blessed we are to live in a country that believes in freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law — and why we must honour the sacrifices of those that built our country."
