On June 28, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, attended the Vaughan Multicultural Festival organized by the Muslim Women of Vaughan, bringing together families from all backgrounds and walks of life.

"Just days ahead of Canada Day, families from all cultures, faiths, and heritage came together to celebrate what unites us — our pride in Canada," said MPP Lecce. "From the Canada-themed hats to the kids waving our flag with joy, it reminded myself and others how proud we are to be part of this community, many of whom are recent immigrants that sacrificed everything to call Canada home. I want to wish everyone a Happy Canada Day, and extend a sincere thanks to Hina and Rizwana from the Muslim Women of Vaughan for bringing us together."
