On November 9, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King--Vaughan, attended a Remembrance Ceremony at the Kettleby Cenotaph, way he laid a wreath in Remembrance on behalf of the Government of Ontario. Ceremony speakers included Lieutenant-Colonel (Ret) Jill Bishop from King.

"Join me in thanking Lt. Col. (Ret) Jill Bishop -- a decorated veteran and King resident -- for her service to our country defending the democratic values we cherish today," said MPP Lecce. "We came together to Remember Them, fulfilling a solemn duty etched into the Kettleby Cemetery Cenotaph: 'Erected that their glory will never fade by their fellow citizens'. I always leave these memorials feeling so deeply proud to be Canadian. God bless all who have continued to serve in uniform, and Lest we Forget."
