On September 4th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan and Ontario’s Minister of Education, joined students, parents and organizers at the Upper Thornhill Community Festival for a back-to-school event in Vaughan.
“It was wonderful to meet parents and the community to share in their excitement about the return to a more normal, stable and enjoyable school year that all students deserve,” said MPP Lecce. “Our government is investing to ensure young people succeed, which is why we’re putting an emphasis on STEM education, mental health supports, learning recovery, and a normal classroom experience for students. Thanks to the parents and organizers of the Upper Thornhill Community Festival for bringing us together and for promoting unity and friendship in Vaughan."
