Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, commended local artists in King Township at the Arts Society King (ASK) Autumn Reflections En Plein Air Awards Day on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Arts Society King (ASK) is a not-for-profit volunteer organization established in 2005.
From September 25 through October 16, local artists created impressions of King Township’s outdoor wonders on the spot at various locations. On the final day, a special exhibition and awards event was sponsored by Joe Saraceni of Re/Max Realty and was held at the Pavilion at the Cold Creek Conservation Area. Adjudicating the event was Michele van Maurik, an award winning and internationally recognized artist. Attendees got to mingle with all the Artists and hear their commentary about the inspiration for their paintings.
“It was wonderful to briefly visit the ‘Autumn Reflections En Plein Air Awards Day’ hosted by the volunteer-driven Arts Society King,” said Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan. “Our community is enriched by many local artists, creating opportunities to spotlight the talent of local artists. More than ever, lets continue to promote and support Canadian creative arts, starting right here in King.”
