On September 30th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan joined local Michael Tibollo, MPP for Vaughan-Woodbridge, Anna Roberts, the MP for King-Vaughan and other elected officials for a the Strides for Seniors Fundraising Run at the North Maple Regional Park in Maple. The event raised $1 million for UniversalCare, a non-profit long term care home operator. The funds will be used to build a new long term care home in Maple.
“Ontario’s seniors worked hard, made many sacrifices, and built our province, which is why we owe them so much,” said MPP Lecce. “I’m incredibly proud that this event brought in $1 million, which is the largest amount ever raised from such a fundraiser held in York Region. Clearly, King is a caring community.”
