On March 1st, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, joined MPPs Michael Parsa, Logan Kanapathi, Daisy Wai, and Laura Smith, for a Nowruz celebration and to recognize a $69,900 grant made to the ICTC youth foundation, (Iranian-Canadian Teens Club), provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport. MPP Lecce delivered remarks.
“Iranian-Canadians came to this country in search of freedom, democracy and a better life for their children, and they have strengthened our country and made York Region an even better place to live, work and raise a family,” said MPP Lecce. “Our government is proud to support young leadership, including from many hard working newcomers to Canada. I wish all who celebrate a happy and prosperous Nowruz.”
