On July 22nd, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, presented Andy Tran with a flag of Ontario at Andy’s home in Maple. Andy is a member of the Scouts Canada program and will attend a special international Jamboree event as part of the Canadian Contingent. Since Andy is specifically representing Ontario, the flag may be displayed during ceremonies and hung from Andy’s tent.
“Andy is the only Vaughan resident representing Ontario at the upcoming global Jamboree; his parents are incredibly proud of him, and so am I,” said MPP Lecce. “Scouts Canada is an amazing organization that teaches young people the importance of self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, and honouring the many sacrifices of our veterans. It was an honour for me to present this dedicated young man with a flag of our province.”
