On March 12, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, joined Premier Ford for a meeting with His Excellency Iddo Moed, Ambassador of Israel to Canada in the wake of synagogue shootings in North York and Vaughan, and an unprecedented spike in antisemitism hate crimes.

"Jewish communities are under attack in Canada and around the world, with three synagogues shot at in less than one week," said MPP Lecce. "Premier Ford and our team met with Israel's Ambassador to Canada and the Consul General in Toronto to double down on our fight against antisemitism and hate against our Jewish neighbours. All of us — of all faiths — cannot sit on the sidelines as increasing attacks on synagogues, Jewish schools, or the Bondi Beach Massacre become normalized. This is a moment to stand up for Canada's longstanding pluralistic and democratic values. Every resident deserves to live in safety. Never again."
