MPP Lecce Celebrates Purim with Local Jewish Community and Recognizes Provincial Investment

On March 1, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, was joined by Laura Smith, MPP for Thornhill, at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre in Maple for the annual JCC Purimpalooza Celebration. MPP Lecce also announced the successful renovation at the community centre made possible by provincial funding. 

"I was proud to join families to deliver this investment in the Schwartz/Reisman Centre — helping transform their fitness space to be an accessible, reliable, and modern space that all residents can enjoy," said MPP Lecce. "Ontario is proud to invest in this world-class facility, including funding to enhance safety as we fight back against antisemitism afflicting our country. We will not be bystanders in the face of this pernicious hate, which is why we are standing with the Jewish community by investing in security enhancements, improving the Schwartz/Reisman Centre, and mandating Holocaust education in every classroom."
