On February 3, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, attended the unveiling of Former Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Official Portrait to mark the 20th anniversary of his election as Canada's 22nd Prime Minister. MPP Lecce served in the Prime Minister's Office for over five years in senior positions during Harper's tenure.

"Prime Minister Stephen Harper was a principled and deeply patriotic Prime Minister who made us proud to be Canadian," said MPP Lecce. "On the 20th anniversary of his election, it was a true honour to attend the unveiling of his official portrait, as he called on all Canadians to come together in unity to confront existential risks from the US. I look back with gratitude on the five-plus years that I served in the Prime Minister's Office, knowing that I worked with the finest professionals and a great Prime Minister."
