Minister Lecce Hosts Philippine Delegation at McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg
On July 3, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan and Minister of Energy and Mines, hosted a Philippine delegation chaired by Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco, Chairperson, Special Committee on Nuclear Energy. Minister Lecce has met with Philippine's Secretary of Energy and past delegations to help bolster the case for deployment of Canadian nuclear technology.
"Ontario's nuclear advantage is earning trust around the world," said Minister Lecce. "It was a pleasure to welcome Congressman Cojuangco and his delegation to Vaughan to delegate the case for closer Canada-Philippines nuclear cooperation. We showcased Ontario's on-time, on-budget nuclear leadership and world-class expertise as more countries turn to clean, reliable nuclear energy. Ontario stands alone building the G7's first small modular reactor, while also leading North America's largest nuclear expansion, creating 150,000 new jobs."
