On July 23rd, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan and Ontario’s Minister of Education, joined Melissa Lantsman, the MP for Thornhill; Stephen Del Duca, Mayor of the City of Vaughan; and Areti Gagaoudakis, the Co-Founder of the Kids Childcare + Preschool at a preschool graduation ceremony in Concord.
“Graduating from preschool is a major milestone in life. I’m grateful to your parents for making so many sacrifices to support your success, and I congratulate all of you for a job well done,” said MPP Lecce to the graduating class. “Today is just the beginning of your journey through Ontario’s education system. Our government wants to prepare you for academic excellence, which is why our government is updating the curriculum to focus more on phonics, cursive writing and other skills that will boost your knowledge of reading, writing and math. The possibilities ahead of you are limitless.”
