Petition: Combatting Crime in King-Vaughan
Violent criminals should not be on our streets. Period.

Crime is on the rise across this country. Too many families in Vaughan and King have faced home invasions, burglaries, auto theft. It's simply unacceptable ...

Now, more than evet, we need to do more to protect Canadians, support law enforcement, and combat crime.

The Ontario government is stepping up to do so, by investing record amounts in our brave men and women in uniform.

We are supporting the York Regional Police Service (YRP) with the tools and investments they need to combat crime in our communities. That is why I announced over $3 million for the YRP in November to fight crime right here in York Region.

We have delivered over $17 million to hire more YRP's frontline officers to support community safety, including nearly 500 additional front-line police officers joining the YRP since we came to office.

More must be done.

It's time for the Federal government to do the same.

Prime Minister Trudeau is wrong to have made it easier for violent criminals to receive generous bail conditions.

Police and victims have said our justice system is a revolving door of criminality.

Every Premier in the nation agrees: It's time to end the soft on crime approach.

Please sign this petition if you want to see real action to keep violent offenders behind bars.
Thanks,
- Stephen
